The godmother who has sexual intercourse with the godfather, married women with priests, all of them are transformed into the Headless Mule. That's the terrible punishment of the Catholic Priest's lover. Thursday nights, the poor thing turns into a Mule, tormented and fast, running throughout the city and the fields until the the fist cocks start singing.

Its paws are like knives, injuring severely the ones it finds on its way. It destroys both men and animals it finds on its way, tearing them in pieces. The fantastic gallop can be heard from long distances as well as the horrible noise of the bites on the iron curb bit that it bears on the skimming moth full of blood. To avoid its attacks one should just cover the nails and the teeth. When the Headless Mule finds a person it sucks the eyes, the nails and the fingers. Running in front a cross at midnight makes the Headless Mule appear. In the dawn, the Mule goes to rest in a secluded place, since at this time, it is already full of injuries and wounds. It gets back to the human form and starts everything all over again in the next Thursday night. To break the enchantment, one must be very courageous and take its curb bit off. It's a headless mule but it neighs. It is an animal that is almost totally black, which hairs are in the form of a white cross. It has eyes of fire and a luminous beam at the end of the tail. It moans as a human creature. It starts neighing and then moans in deep pain, screaming at the end.

When a person sees a fantastic apparition or a headless mule, must lay downwards, covering the nails to avoid the attack. The one who sees souls from beyond or any other vision, must not turn the lights on when gets back home. It's is mandatory to wait for the morning light.
