The vastness of the
beaches on Southern Shores, where the heights of the Sea
Mountain Range seem to fall abruptly into the rural areas
surrounded by the Atlantic Forest that seem to extend its
natural limits, mixing its borders with the sky and the sea, is
only broken by the set of the hills in Itanhaém. All of them are
unique in the region, surrounding and sheltering the city with
the remnants of the Atlantic Forest still sheltering species of
birds, animals and endemic plants. All of them reassure a kind
of microclimate to the city, refreshing the air during the
summer. All of the hills have magnificent panoramas in all
directions.
