Givurá or She-Goatee is an
island near the Fishermen's Beach, that can be reached
on foot during the web. Nevertheless, its is mandatory
to be cautious with the tides since the flow as well as
when the sea turns rough, may trap you in the
island. There are beautiful panoramas in the direction
of the Dream Beach (Praia do Sonho) and Fishermen's
Beach (Praia dos Pescadores). It is possible to walk
around the island's rocky coast.
There are people fishing
around its coast most of the time. There's also a
small beach which sands are made up of millions of
thin and small shells thrown there by the sea. This
beach sometimes shelter flocks of marine birds such as
seagulls that use the island as a stopover. During the
period called "the waters", when the water of the ocean
is clear and when the sea is calm, some skillful divers
can venture in the waters around the island and also
around the rocky coast on the left side of the Dream
Beach, located near the Givurá Island. Only for
experienced divers.
